I am very thin by nature. I never got any extra weight. When I started to take antidepressants (Cipralex)- about a year before, I gained about 14 kg weight. Is it because of Cipralex?

Hello infatuation,
Welcome to depression forum family. Cipralex is not known to cause the weight gain. Generally it is known to cause some loss in apetite. You may need to find what else changed in your life apart from cipralex since you started putting on weight. -------------------- I've come to believe that each of us has a personal calling that's as unique as a fingerprint - and that the best way to succeed is to discover what you love and then find a way to offer it to others in the form of service, working hard, and also allowing the energy of the universe to lead you.

Not usually. The depression itself may have made you eat more causing weight gain.
