 Meditation use and benefits

The key to using Meditation lies in recognizing that you actually need it. Once you get into the whirlpool of work and stress, they can both all too easily become an integral part of your lifestyle. Meditation needs to be done like regular exercise. In fact you might say you are exercising the ways in which you relax. There are few steps which you can follow to get the things moving:

  • The very first step involves switching off , like switching off a light in a room and concentrating on what would be called the 'inner other', that is to say the marvelous, relaxed, empty inner spaces inside your head and body. This stage, put crudely, means sweeping out all the noise and chaos of everyday life and getting ready to enter another world.
  • The second stage involves being carried alone what one expert teacher calls 'A moving but going nowhere sound that coils round and even through itself in a perpetual state of being'. Perhaps the best way of evaluating it is by hearing what people have to say after meditation. 'As good as a holiday' or 'like a wonderful deep refreshing scene' is what most people say.

All these practices have one thing in common - they all focus on quietening the busy mind. The intention is not to remove stimulation but rather to direct your concentration to one healing element - one sound, one word, one image, or one's breath. When the mind is "filled" with the feeling of calm and peace, it cannot take off on its own and worry, stress out, or get depressed.

You must use meditation with care though. It is not like switching on and off a tap. It needs to be respected. Few people who meditate try, even if they could, to describe its ultimate powers. That would be like divulging a wonderful private secret; to have it is quite enough.

Meditation intoduction and basics - Meditation is frequently confused with various forms of concentration. Meditation is a very effective technique for improving your creativity and problem solving capacity. Meditation is one of the proven alternative therapies. Learn more about it.

How to use meditation? - Meditation is sometimes described as "listening to the silence between thoughts". Our effort in meditation is directed towards consciously increasing the periods of such silence.

What are the benefits of meditation?- One of many benefits of meditation is that it opens your mind to new ideas. When the bowl is full, trying to pour more water into it just causes an overflow. The same happens with our mind. When it is full of thoughts, there is no room for new ideas.

Simple meditation techniques - meditation is an exercise, aiming to prevent thoughts in a natural way, by deeply relaxing the physical body and then trying to keep the mind completely "blank" with no thoughts whatsoever. Learn various meditation techniques.

Tips to guided meditation - Before meditation you may wish to define clearly what do you want to learn, what do you want to ask your Higher Self. During the meditation, do not expect an answer (although it is likely that it will come when your mind will be pure) - this is also a thought!

Holosync and meditation - One of the great beauties of Holosync is how easy it is to use: Some people call it instant meditation, but it's much more than that.

Descartes Meditation: DESCARTES is often called the founder of modern philosophy, and the statement contains a solid core of historical truth.
