What is Acephalgic Migraine?
Acephalgic Migraine is also known as
Silent Migraine,
eye migraine .Acephalgic migraine means a migraine without
headache. It is a
neurological syndrome.It normally
presents as a visual aura. The symptoms generally spreads over 20-30 minutes.Five percent of
migraine headaches come under this category.

- Prodrome
- Aura
- Headache
- Postdrome
Symptoms of Acephalgic Migraine
- Seeing zig zags or flashing lights
- Scintillating scotoma
- Inability to speak
- Vomiting
- Partial loss of vision
How to treat Acephalgic Migraine?
- Give medicines which include
NSAIDs, antinausea medications, Midrin, ergotamines the triptans.
- Asprin should be given for the treatment of Acephalgic Migraine.
