What Is Swimmers Ear?

Swimmer's ear is an illness of the ear canal. Cause by bacteria, this infection in the thin layer of skin lining the canal. Swimmer can occur whenever the protective lining of the ear is damaged somehow, creating it easier for germs to take hold and multiply.This infection commanly happens in kids or rarely teenagers.

Symptoms of swimmers ear

  • Itching in ear canal
  • Small redness of skin in ear canal
  • Mild uneasiness
  • Some drainage of odorless fluid Redness of skin
  • Too much fluid drainage
  • Discharge of pus
  • Pain that worsens on moving your outer ear or nearly on the little "bump” in front of your ear
  • Sensation of fullness in your ear
  • Reduce or muffled hearing
  • Hearing loss

Prevent of swimmers ear

  • Wear ear plugs when swimming
  • Apply a dry towel or hair dryer to dry your ears
  • Aways keep your ears cleaned periodically by an otolaryngologist if you have itchy, flaky or scaly ears, or extensive earwax
  • Put some oil before getting in the pool to keep away form  water flushing out the protective oils in the ear.

Home remedy for swimmers ear

  • You have mild swimmer’s ear so it would be treated with a few drops of white vinegar placed in both ears. Put a few drops of vinegar in one ear and leave it in the ear canal for about five minutes before turning the ear down in order to drain the result. Repeat this twice days. It is beneficial for curing swimmer ears.
  • If you have water clogs the ears, put three or four drops apple cider vinegar, diluted in equal parts with water or alcohol, after showering or swimming. This is good remedy for reduce future infection.
  • Heat some baby oil, and as it warms put into the ears with the help of an ear dropper and place a cotton ball to avoid draining the oil.
  • Blend equal parts water, peroxide, and white vinegar. For help an eye dropper to put a few drops in ear. Allow it stay in the ear for a minute. Tip head to let the resolution drain. Place a piece of cotton in ear. It is sensible to do this before going to the bed. This is good way to treat swimmer ears.

Diet and tips for swimmers ear

  • Do not get swimming in dirty or polluted waters and even if you unknowingly do so, be safe and wear earplugs when you swim.
  • Stop poking the ear with fingers or sharp objects
  • Later than to swim turn the head and gently pull the ear in different directions to drain water out of the ear. Try drying the opening of the ear very charily with the help of a towel. 
  • You can have a regular and nutritious meal. Not anything in exacting in terms of food can help reduce the effects of swimmers ear.
